Gallegas Spanish Slate is a very popular product, sourced from the Gallegas quarry in Orense in North West Spain. It has a very distinctive swirling grain. Well known for its rustic look and durability, it has been one of the most popular natural slate used in Ireland for almost 20 Years. Gallegas is one of the most modern slate mine & production facilites in Europe. The slate is extracted from the mine using saws which ensures that the Gallegas slate are very uniform, and the premier grade require minimal grading. The Standard grade as with all natural slates will require grading.

Gallegas slates are available from stock in the usual standard sizes – 600mm x 300mm and 500mm x 250mm in the three grades Prestige, Heritage and Traditional.
